How to use Teleprompter

Reading Guide

The blue horizontal line sits at the top third of your screen. Keep your eyes near this line. The text scrolls upward past it. This is your anchor — glance at the camera, return to the line.

WPM — Words Per Minute

Sets scroll speed to match your speaking pace. 110 = relaxed conversation. 150 = brisk presentation. 80 = slow and deliberate. Lower if you feel rushed.

Break (Paragraph Pauses)

When enabled, the prompter auto-pauses between paragraphs. Gives you time to breathe and transition to the next thought naturally.

Blink Reminder

A soft white ring pulses on the reading guide every 3.5 seconds. It is right where your eyes are — reminds you to blink so you don't look robotic.

Lens Reminder

A blue glow washes from the top of the screen every 12 seconds. Reminds you to glance up at the camera lens, then back to the text.

Script Cues

Write these directly in your script:

{pause:500} — pause 500 milliseconds when this spot reaches the guide.

{look} — trigger lens reminder when this spot reaches the guide.

ALL CAPS WORDS — automatically bolded. Use them to plan emphasis and inflection.

Start Delay

Set Delay to 1-3 seconds. When you hit Play, a countdown (3, 2, 1) appears so you can settle before scrolling starts.
